AI prospecting for construction: how DigitaliZ BTP booked its 1st qualified meeting in 3 days

One of our clients booked his first qualified meeting 3 days after launching his first campaign.

The prospect? A tradesperson who initially replied that there was "little chance he would follow up."

That client is Ahmed Jouhari, founder of DigitaliZ BTP. We supported him as he implemented the Allbound platform. Here is the complete method, step by step, followed by the real case.

Why personalized prospecting works and why it used to be limited to large companies

Good personalization works in B2B prospecting. Everyone knows that.

The problem is time. Finding information about each prospect, analyzing their online presence and adapting the message could take up to 10 minutes per prospect. Done manually, it does not scale.

As a result, truly personalized approaches were limited to teams that could assign several people to them: a salesperson, a marketing specialist and someone handling data. It pays off: in ABM, about 1 in 2 accounts converts, compared with 1 in 5 in traditional demand generation.

AI changed that. When properly integrated, it performs this research and analysis reliably in a fraction of the time. This is exactly what we deployed for Ahmed.

Who Ahmed is and what he needed

Ahmed Jouhari is a brand and growth strategy consultant who works exclusively with the construction and housing sector. After working in structural metalwork and boiler making, he founded DigitaliZ BTP in Bordeaux to help companies in the sector build more structured, consistent and sustainable growth.

His positioning is Growth Architect. He helps construction tradespeople, executives and specifiers structure their brand, offer, acquisition, conversion and customer experience.

To sell these services, he must prospect those tradespeople himself and establish credibility from the first message with something tangible to offer.

His goal was to centralize prospecting, save time and bring real value to every meeting. Previously, he switched between several tools and nothing was centralized. The process was slow, ineffective and costly in platform subscriptions.

Step 1: Identify and surface the right prospects

The first building block is targeting. We identify construction companies that match Ahmed's target and automatically bring them into the platform. Each prospect is assigned a persona, in this case "construction tradesperson," using business rules defined with Ahmed.

    • Target construction companies and send them automatically to the platform
    • Automatically classify each persona with AI
    • Use business rules defined in advance, not random keyword detection

Step 2: Score and assess each prospect before sending any message

First, the platform assigns a match score from 0 to 100 based on Ahmed's criteria. In the case below, the prospect scored 57%.

Then an AI web presence assessment agent independently reviews the prospect's entire online presence:

    • Website and quality
    • Google Business Profile
    • Social networks, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram
    • Tracking and advertising accounts

The output is a complete assessment of the prospect's digital maturity, with practical recommendations.

Step 3: Generate the opening message and approve it before sending

Using the assessment, the platform generates a personalized opening message, then adds the prospect to a LinkedIn sequence.

Nothing is sent automatically. Every message requires human approval. Ahmed reviews and approves it in 30 seconds. AI prepares it. A person controls and decides.

The real case: the prospect who had no intention of replying

One identified prospect was an ornamental ironworker who runs an exceptional craft workshop. Ahmed approved the outreach message and sent it on LinkedIn. The prospect replied defensively: "I am used to being prospected. You can send me something, but there is little chance I will follow up."

Instead of insisting with a sales pitch, Ahmed turned everything the AI agent had identified into a branded five to six page strategic mini audit in a few minutes. He used the platform for the assessment, then Claude for formatting.

He sent it as a PDF. The prospect's attitude changed completely: "Okay, I am curious. You took the time, did your analysis and understood who I am."

The meeting was booked immediately, 3 days after the campaign launched.

    AI executes. People convert.

What mattered was not automation. It was the consideration shown to the prospect. He did not feel prospected. He felt consulted and valued.

AI executing a bad strategy is simply a bad strategy executed ten times faster. This is why people remain central to strategy, approval and relationships.

"The AI agent infrastructure gives me a highly qualitative analysis of my prospects' digital situation. I can prepare highly personalized and relevant mini audits as opening messages and bring real value to my meetings. I saw very satisfying initial results from my first campaign."
Ahmed Jouhari, Founder of DigitaliZ BTP (translated from French)
